General conditions of sale
Last updated: March, 2025
Before confirming your reservation, please read the conditions below carefully. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us for clarification. Payment for your cruise with SAILORAH constitutes acceptance of these conditions.
Booking and role of the facilitator for the immersive cruise or of the customer for the discovery cruise
For immersive cruises with a speaker or discovery cruises for individual customers, the presenter or customer must fill out a reservation form including the information of each participant. It is the responsibility of the facilitator or the customer to ensure that each participant has read and accepted these terms and conditions.
Important: SAILORAH does not organize the logistical aspects of the trip, such as the reservation of the sailboat (charter), accommodation or transfers. Our service is limited to navigation and skippering, advice on choosing the boat, the departure marina, and the itinerary adapted to demand. The additional organization of stays is under the responsibility of the facilitator for thematic cruises or of the customer for classic cruises.
Information and contact point
The client or the facilitator must provide the skipper with all the necessary and relevant information to ensure the smooth running of the cruise, such as the full names of the participants, their contact details and any useful information concerning health conditions or particular needs. The intervener or the customer will be our main point of contact and must communicate all relevant information about the cruise to the participants.
Itinerary changes
The skipper establishes a personalized itinerary for each cruise, but unforeseen circumstances may require adjustments (weather, safety). The skipper has full authority to change the itinerary if necessary. Any request for changes from participants will be considered, but the final decision rests with the skipper.
Boarding and disembarking
SAILORAH cruises end at 8 am on Saturday morning, when all participants must disembark. Arrival at the final port is scheduled for Friday before 6 pm. Boarding times vary depending on itinerary and will be confirmed in advance. It is advisable to arrive early to facilitate boarding. In case of delay, the boat will leave without latecomers and no refund will be given.
Payment and Cancellation
Accepted payment methods
Bank transfer: We send you our our bank details on request. Note: Since our bank account is based in Croatia, transfers may require additional processing time, depending on your bank. We recommend that you anticipate this delay to avoid any inconvenience.
Cash payment: Accepted on site only.
For all payments, it is imperative to indicate the reference of your reservation.
In case of non-payment of the deposit or balance by the agreed date, the reservation will be cancelled without notice and the dates will be made available.
Deposits are non-refundable, even in case of cancellation by the customer or the facilitator. We recommend taking out travel insurance to cover these risks.
Cancellation by SAILORAH
While we make every effort to maintain our cruises as planned, we reserve the right to cancel if circumstances require it (for example, in case of force majeure, extreme weather, or for unforeseen medical reasons). In this event, we will inform the stakeholder or customer as soon as possible and offer the following options:
Reschedule the cruise at a later date.
Cancel the reservation and fully refund the amounts paid to SAILORAH.
Note: Ancillary costs, such as airline tickets or transfers, will not be refunded. We strongly advise participants to take out travel insurance to cover these eventualities.
Force majeure
SAILORAH cannot be held responsible if unforeseen events beyond our control (extreme weather conditions, natural disasters, conflicts, etc.) lead to changes or cancellations of the planned services. The safety of participants is our priority, but some situations may require last-minute changes.
Safety and responsibilities
SAILORAH is committed to ensuring the safety of your personal belongings, but declines all responsibility in the event of theft or loss on board. It is your responsibility to take out insurance that covers your personal effects and possible injuries.
Before each departure, the skipper will give a safety briefing. The boat will only leave the port when all the instructions have been well understood by all participants. SAILORAH cannot be held responsible for injuries caused by the negligence of participants.
Sailing is a physical activity that involves inherent risks. By boarding, you accept these risks, including minor injuries such as cuts, bruises, sprains, or rope burns.
Behaviour of the participants
Participants should be able to participate actively in the cruise. Excessive alcohol consumption or drug use is strictly prohibited and can compromise everyone's safety. Any disruptive or aggressive behavior may result in exclusion from the cruise without reimbursement.
Use of images
By participating in a cruise with SAILORAH, each guest agrees that their image, comments, and testimonials may be used for promotional purposes, unless otherwise advised in writing prior to the cruise.
